Families Training Together

These days we are so busy with work and our other obligations we can't enjoy our family and get in shape and we realize we must pick one.

But why not do both at the same time ?

With brazilian jiu jitsu we can have passion and enjoy our family together.

This weekend was an awesome weekend to exemplify it, my son and I competed and then my students Arturo Vega and his son Gino Vega fought. This just made me realize how awesome BJJ is and how it unites us with our loved ones. It doesn't matter if we win or lose what's important is staying connected and making new friends from our team Caio Terra Association these guys are like family, supporting us, coaching us, or just being there to hangout.

Grand Opening Celebration

I cannot explain how happy I am to finally have my dream come true. Being able to share this time with all my friends that traveled from all over California and my teammates from Caio Terra Association meant so much to me. This wouldn't have happened without all the support and faith from all of you throughout the years. A big thank you to all the black belts that brought your students, I hope everyone had as much fun as I did.

Osvaldo "Queixinho" showing Lapel Guard

Who is responsible for the evolution of jiu-jitsu? The answer is the new generation of grapplers, of which Osvaldo 'Queixinho' Moizinho is a member.

A competitor and teacher at Caio Terra's gym in San Jose, California, Queixinho is one of the young black belts driving the game forward. He's known for using techniques that combine elements of de la riva guard with lapel control, inverting, leg attacks and more.

This is modern Brazilian jiu-jitsu, and if you want see how the art is developing then go ahead and watch.
